Freeze drying flowers in their natural form Flower preservation of flowers means the extraction of moisture held in the flowers by which the process by which water is removed from a frozen material by sublimation and processes, primary drying and secondary drying. By pre-treating all our flowers before this process, this provides the perfect material of then a preserved flower. All of our flowers are preserved in a 3d form (not pressed) but in the same shape as before they go through this process. Please note that when we are extracting the moisture through this process, depending upon the age of the flower, the flower may darken or lighten in colour.

Our process to gently remove all the moisture from the flowers takes a minimum of 14-16 weeks and then further time to design and cast your flowers within the requested paperweight design. It is vital to make sure the moisture is removed slowly from the flowers so they retain as much colour as possible as well as the 3d formation. The flowers are then sent across to the designers to create your flower paperweight.

There are a few varieties of flowers which are quite temperamental and after the preservation process – these can change in colour and texture. If you are unsure about the suitability of the flowers It is best to contact us to discuss your varieties/colours.

Each and every flower is different, therefore each flower may react differently during the process of preservation – as flowers age, it is impossible to bring them back as they were on the actual day/event unless we are receiving them on the same day. We can accept flowers up to 7 days after an event as long as the flower heads are still green underneath.

• Orchids – Please advise of the variety and we can confirm if we can preserve this particular one. Cerise pink Orchids cannot be preserved and encapsulated but lighter colours may be acceptable
• Protea and exotic flowers – these will turn much darker through the preservation process as the outside shell will turn brown
• Freesias – These are a temperamental flower, whether a double or single head. After preservation they can turn transparent, so we never used open Freesia heads within a paperweight as they are just too fragile unless they are delivered to our studios in perfect condition and only just coming out in bloom. Buds can be used
• Tulips – Single flower heads. Some varieties have to be pre-treated and coated prior to encapsulation, but most varieties preserve well. Although, some flowers do change through the preservation process in the way of colour and texture.
• Peach and Orange/rust and mocha coloured flowers (salmon pink especially). As we do not pre colour or treat our flowers in any way, the natural colours may darken or lighten – for some reason peach and orange flowers especially can turn pink. Orange Freesias may turn v.dark, even brown. pink flowers can turn a lighter shade of pink as the moisture is extracted, this is totally normal

Please Note: We will always try to preserve the flowers mentioned above but depending on their age this may have an impact on the flower preservation results.

There are two options when making payment

1. Deposit Payment – Pay a small deposit to secure your order. We recommend doing this if you wish to pay for your order over a longer period or if you are unsure if this is the correct product for you. Your final payment will need to be made on or before the Invoice due date or the date listed on your online account. (Generally within 60 days from the event date).
2. Full Payment – Pay for your order in full

By selecting either of these options, changes can still be made on arrival of your flowers if you would like to change the size, increase to add additional paperweights to your order.

We can raise a manual invoice or amend your online account to rectify this.

We accept payments via:

• Debit/Credit Card
• Online Banking

Payment Plans can be discussed if required, please get in touch if you require this. Please note however this will delay the completion time of your order

You will receive an order confirmation from us if making payment online. If you order direct you will receive a confirmation in terms of an Invoice. Details of how to package your flowers to us will be sent to you.

We will then await the arrival of your flowers. Please note we do not progress your order to the design stage until full payment has been made.

At the present time we are completing orders between 12-22 weeks due to the volume of orders this Season, as removing all the moisture initially from the flowers is so very important. From January 1st 2023 we have started our money back guarantee that if we do not complete your order within 6 months then we will refund you.

Criteria:

• Confirmation of the order within 3/7 days of arrival
• Payment made on time as per invoice/online order (no later than 60 days from your event date)

We do not start any work on your flowers until a deposit has been paid. After receipt of payment, your flowers are preserved, but NOT DESIGNED and encapsulated within the paperweight/s until the account balance is paid in full – late payment will delay your order.

This then gives us a lovely array of flowers to select from in order to create a stunning paperweight/keepsakes with.

But of course if you prefer to gently take your bouquet apart then please feel free to select the flowers which are the most sentimental to you.

We recommend keeping flowers hydrated as much as possible during your event to ensure they keep their moisture by placing them back into water as soon as you possibly can.

Ask the venue if they can provide any water to position them in during the event.

We recommend sending them to us within 1-4 days following your event for the best results.

Ideally, we would love to have as many flowers as you can possibly spare. We will then preserve the best flowers sent in and use these to create your paperweight/keepsake.

The flowers once enclosed within the paperweight will last forever as no humidity can ever come back into the 100% sealed paperweight.

As advised in each consultation via telephone, face to face or email it is impossible to guarantee the final colour of the specimen as all flowers may react when encapsulated.

We cannot take responsibility for any air bubbles or particles that may become loose once your flowers have been encapsulated, nor a line within the paperweight which is from the pollen from the flowers (as this has nowhere to escape to).

To preserve the natural beauty of your paperweight/s, please do not place them directly in the sun or near a heat source.

Make sure to clean your paperweight/s with a soft, clean cloth, taking care not to scratch the surface and remove any marks and/or fine scratches using a metal polish.

Please do not place your paperweight/s next to or in front of a television screen as prolonged exposure to this form of light can create a heat build-up within your paperweight/s.

A care leaflet is enclosed with every order.

UK Return Delivery for all orders for all small orders is £12.00 (inclusive of VAT) for larger orders this is £20.00 (inclusive of VAT).

We will either use a signed for service to return your order or a Courier Service depending on the size of your order.

If you would like your order sent internationally we will confirm charges with you on completion of your order & you will be charged as agreed.

Yes of course, however we must be notified in writing, ideally via email or text message so we have this for our records. You can also make the necessary amendments to your online account.

We will, however, confirm the return delivery address shortly before the completion of your order so this can be notified at this point, this is usually required within 48 hours when delivery dates are offered.
