When you have chosen to have your bouquet freeze dried ... what to do next ...
By placing your order with us you are accepting these terms and conditions.
We can arrange courier collection (charged at £25.00) from anywhere
in the UK. Or delivery can be made to us by prior arrangement. Keep
flowers cool,
but do not spray with water.if the bouquet is hand tied, the stems
may be put in
water. If being collected, the flowers need to be placed in a strong
box with either tissue paper/packing to support the flowers inside. Once we
have received
your flowers, they will be sketched, photographed and then measured and finally
freeze
dried. After a month / 6 weeks we shall send you a recommendation of the
frame size appropriate for your preserved bouquet, at this stage it is entirely
up
to you to consider our recommendation or make your own decision. This is
your consent to allow the Flower Preservation Workshop to create your floral
preservation using our expert knowledge and discretion based
on the selection
shown. Each order is customized to suit you, the customer. You have therefore
given us permission to complete this work on your behalf.
The Flower Preservation Workshop does not accept any liability for damages
to flowers before they arrive at our workshops. All flowers that we accept
and preserve
become 100% our property until all fees applicable for preserving etc are
paid in full. Most bouquets have probably experienced some wear and tear before
we
receive them, so our pricing ploicy includes the replacement of 3 flowers
at no additional charge. In the event that a filler/greenery does not preserve
well, we shall replace it with either a preserved foliage similar or artificial
substitute. You shall be informed of this at the appropriate time. If you
would like to see the flowers after preservation, but before framing, please
request this when booking.
We can store the flowers for 7 days before you make your frame decision
without charge. After this there will be a £5 weekly fee payable (this
will be added to your final invoice) Some flowers may change very slightly
during the preservation process and some colour changes may occur. Artificial
colouring may be required on some
varieties of flowers , if you request this not to be done - we will accept
your decision. We are often asked - can you just preserve the flowers
... The
simple answer to this question is; NO Flowers just preserved and not framed
will rapidly fade as they have not had the necessary process to capture
the colour and texture. They become very brittle and will fall apart very
easily.The
everyday moisture re-absorbs into the blooms and this causes unstableness
itself. We do not therefore offer this service.
Payment
The deposit of £75.00 (payable on delivery of
the bouquet) is not refundable for any reason. The final decision for the display
design will need to be made
no later than 28 days after receipt of the bouquet. Full payment is due on collection
of the preserved order.lf the bouquet is not collected after 3 months after
completion ,The Flower Preservation Workshop retains the right to dispose of
the flowers without prior notice.Preservation will be completed within 16-24
weeks, delay
of this time scale will be dependable upon season and you shall be notified.Should
you require a specific date for the order to be processed by,this would have
to be accepted upon delivery to us.
With regard to the paperweights - we freeze dry the flowers and then they
are sent off to a laboratory to be encapsulated into a paperweight. Although
every effort is made to make these perfect, discolourations can occur - mainly
due to a chemical/spray placed on the flower before preservation. We shall
inform you before if we anticipate a problem and another secondary flower may
be used.
Final Collection
We shall store the bouquet for up to 3 weeks
without charge. After this £5
per week will be added to the account for storage charges.Payment will be need
to be made before the preserved frames leave our premises.
The long term condition of your flowers is very dependant of initial factors
beyond our control once leaving our workshops, there fore we do not offer any
guarantee after the 40 day period after receiving your finished frame.
